Ken Swofford
Serving as Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer since founding the company in 1978, Ken provides oversight and strategic direction to insure quality growth at Swofford Construction. He is well known and respected for building long-term client relationships as evidenced by 90% repeat clients.
As a result of 46 years of experience with all phases of commercial construction starting as an assistant superintendent, he takes a hands-on approach with projects often serving in a Project Executive role.
Ken believes in giving back and is a well-respected having served in numerous leadership roles with AGC Georgia (formerly Georgia Branch AGC) including the Chapter’s President in 2012-2013. Graduating from Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Ken brings a unique and valuable perspective to the construction process.
He is a long term Board Member of CompTrust AGC MCIC (Mutual Captive Insurance Company owned by AGC Georgia), a member of the Advisory Board of Vinings Bank and a member of the Construction Industry Advisory Board at Southern Polytechnic State University.
He is a supporter of many local youth sports programs and various charitable and religious organizations such as Camp Glisson (a Methodist retreat), Make-A-Wish Foundation and Georgia Special Olympics.
